Michael Folsom, a third generation Contractor and forth generation  Floridian, began Folsom with the strong core values passed down from his Grandfather and Father.  The most important of those values in Michael’s opinion is doing everything possible, as a team, to exceed each client’s expectations throughout every project.  Michael and his partners have built a team of professionals to ensure Folsom does just that. Michael’s passion for the business and upholding his family’s legacy give him the drive to push Folsom forward to diversify as a company and continually strive to improve business processes in order to provide the best value to their clients.

 

The Folsom Team believes in keeping a diverse portfolio of projects to better meet the unique needs of repeat and future clients.  Our portfolio includes project categories such as office space, industrial warehouses, manufacturing & distribution centers, multifamily, senior living, municipal, healthcare, and interior buildouts.  However, while our project portfolio varies widely, our Team’s approach is always the same: ask questions that others might overlook, meet the deadline and budget, and deliver the highest possible value for the dollar.

GENERAL CONTRACTING

The traditional method of project delivery, where the owner/developer maintains the responsibility for choosing a design, selecting a design professional and a contractor. The General Contractor assumes responsibility for the organization and execution of the construction activities throughout the project. Folsom utilizes subcontractors for all labor performed on a project. Quality subcontractors are chosen, while ensuring price competitiveness and quality work is completed in a timely manner. Because of superior working relationships with a large network of subcontractors and vendors, Michael and his team at Folsom, are able to provide customers with competitive prices and quality assurance.

DESIGN BUILD

The heart of the design/build approach is the establishment of a single source of management and accountability, typically with the general contractor. The Folsom Team has repeatedly proven the value of the design/build approach in maintaining the fiscal integrity of a project, while meeting financing criteria, critical quality standards and accelerated scheduling commitments.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

This is a fee-based service in which Folsom is responsible exclusively to the owner/developer. With three generations of construction management experience, rest assured the firm always acts in the client’s best interest throughout the project. The diversity of projects managed by Folsom has expanded the firm’s expertise in managing special utility requirements, sound and air quality parameters, traffic considerations and environmental factors.
